Our Workshops
At Midtown Makers Gift Shop, we offer a diverse range of craft workshops designed to inspire creativity and bring people together. From arts and crafts sessions to more specialised classes such as crocheting for beginners, sewing, wet felting, photography, and quilting, there's something for everyone.
These workshops are tailored to help participants start or enhance a new skill or hobby, providing a supportive and friendly environment. Additionally, we host charity events where attendees can enjoy great company while contributing to meaningful causes. Our workshops are not only about learning but also about fostering community connections, sharing ideas, and enhancing wellbeing through creative expression and social engagement.

Learn to paint a cute dog and enjoy locally made sweet treats with Artist Ursula Meehan and The Bakery Room. Using
acrylic paint on canvas, this workshop is suitable for beginners.

Let's Get Crafty! Faux Flower Display and Soap Making

Needle Felting Workshop - Easter Bunny

Wet Felted textured bowls Workshop
Saturday 21st March
10.30am -2.30pm
Cost £55 a non refundable or transferable (unless I cancel the workshop) deposit of £10 secures your place.
All materials and equipment supplied, please bring two small towels and a packed lunch.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced felters. We will be exploring making a 3D bowl and adding colour and texture using different fabric, yarns and fibres. You can choose to make one larger bowl or several small palm size bowls.

Let's Get Fizzy! Bath Bomb Workshop

Come along and make some bath bombs. Lots of fragrances, colours and shapes to experiment with and have fun.
Please bring an apron and wear something that you can pull sleeves up on or wear short sleeves. Tie up long hair (it will just get in your way :-) )
If fine dusts aggravates you may choose to wear a mask during mixing.

Booking can be made on an hourly basis between 10.00am and 4pm Monday to Saturday excluding public and bank holidays. Booking must be inclusive of your preparation time for set up and dismantling.

As part of the Ballymena Business Centre family, the Rankin Room is situated in the Business Hub, above Midtown Makers Gift Shop in the heart of Ballymena Town Centre on Church Street. The Rankin Room offers a premier location for businesses seeking a versatile meeting space.
The Rankin Room offers the ideal location to book space for the delivery of business and community workshops, tutorials, networking and small functions.
Located in the Business Hub, this open plan facility includes tables, chairs, Presentation TV, lift access, free Wi-Fi and a welcoming professional environment accommodating up to 20 individuals.
Booking can be made on an hourly basis between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday excluding public and bank holidays. Booking must be inclusive of your prepration time for set up and dismantling.

As part of the Ballymena Business Centre family, the Business Hub above Midtown Makers offers hourly access to a workspace/office. You can reserve the Workspace for exactly the amount of time you need, ideal for quiet working, video calls, interviews and small team meetings, perfect for today's professionals.
Located in the Business Hub, this workspace facility includes up to 4 desks, chairs, electric sockets, lift access, WiFi and a welcoming professional environment.
Additionally, it features modern kitchen and washroom amenities, providing convenience and comfort for both short and extended stays. Its strategic location offers easy access to ample parking options in Ballymena Town Centre, as well as proximity to The Braid Theatre and Conference Centre, further enhancing the Hub's appeal as a well-connected, comprehensive business environment.
