At Midtown Makers Gift Shop, we offer a diverse range of craft workshops designed to inspire creativity and bring people together. From arts and crafts sessions to more specialised classes such as crocheting for beginners, sewing, wet felting, photography, and quilting, there's something for everyone.
These workshops are tailored to help participants start or enhance a new skill or hobby, providing a supportive and friendly environment. Additionally, we host charity events where attendees can enjoy great company while contributing to meaningful causes. Bakes and Paints Workshop

Learn to paint a highland cow and enjoy locally made sweet treats with Artist Ursula Meehan. Using
acrylic paint on canvas, this workshop is suitable for beginners.
All materials are provided.

Let's Get Fizzy! Bath Bomb Workshop

Make your own bath bombs. All materials provided.
Come along and make some bath bombs. Lots of fragrances, colours and shapes to experiment with and have fun.
Please bring an apron and wear something that you can pull sleeves up on or wear short sleeves. Tie up long hair (it will just get in your way :-) )
If fine dusts aggravates you may choose to wear a mask during mixing.

Spring Silk Scarf - Felting Workshop
Saturday 21st February 2026

In this workshop you’ll experience working with beautiful hand woven Margilan silk dyed to the colour of your choice. We will then learn how to create shape and design using fine merino roving which we will wet felt on to the silk. This technique is suitable for beginners to felting and more experienced felters alike.
A deposit of £10 is taken on booking and is non refundable or transferable.

Let's Get Crafty! Faux Flower Display and Soap Making

An Introduction to Watercolour Painting

Price £50 for full 3 session course.
Learn to mix colours for maximum impact and give texture and interest to your work. Using a variety of materials you will create your own loose style painting.
Course led by local artist Maria Hunter.

Located in the prestigious Midtown Makers Gift Shop, this open plan facility includes tables, chairs, accessible toilet, free Wi-Fi and a welcoming relaxed environment accommodating up to 12 individuals.
Booking can be made on an hourly basis between 10.00am and 4pm Monday to Saturday excluding public and bank holidays. Booking must be inclusive of your preparation time for set up and dismantling.

As part of the Ballymena Business Centre family, the Rankin Room is situated in the Business Hub, above Midtown Makers Gift Shop in the heart of Ballymena Town Centre on Church Street. The Rankin Room offers a premier location for businesses seeking a versatile meeting space.
The Rankin Room offers the ideal location to book space for the delivery of business and community workshops, tutorials, networking and small functions.
Located in the Business Hub, this open plan facility includes tables, chairs, Presentation TV, lift access, free Wi-Fi and a welcoming professional environment accommodating up to 20 individuals.
Booking can be made on an hourly basis between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday excluding public and bank holidays. Booking must be inclusive of your prepration time for set up and dismantling.
