​"Retail Ready" is a pop-up-shop initiative managed by Ballymena Business Centre in partnership with The Gallaher Trust. This initiative is designed specifically for local Ballymena start up and early stage entrepreneurs to experience town centre test trading. Participants benefit from in store sales, visual merchandising and promotional opportunities for a period of 2 months.
​What are the key features of our Retail Ready Programme?
Cost-Free Retail Space: Participants are provided with dedicated retail space for a period of two months at no cost. This removes a significant financial barrier for small businesses and allows them to focus on product development and sales.
Merchandising Assistance: In store support to visually display products effectively to attract customers. This assistance can be invaluable for early stage entrepreneurs who are new to the physical retail environment.
Social Media and Online Promotion: Participants receive guidance on social media marketing and are featured on the Midtown Makers' website and social media platforms. This exposure can help participants reach a broader audience and build an online presence.
Experience in a Retail Environment: Entrepreneurs have a hands-on experience in a retail setting, improving business skills in selling, customer engagement, product placement, and sales strategies.
Support from Experienced Staff: Guidance from Ballymena Business Centre Team offering expert tips, techniques and first hand experience of selling in a retail environment.
